こちらは伸長式のドローリーフダイニングテーブルで、構造は定番ですがデザインは非常に珍しいものです。4本の脚の柱部分には、ケルト（ブルトン）の民族衣装をまとった人物が彫刻されており、フランス北東部ブルターニュ地方特有の文化が反映されています。彫刻はすべて異なるデザインで、手間のかかる作りからも貴重さがうかがえます。こうした人物彫刻はキャビネットやチェアに見られることが多く、テーブルでは非常に稀少です。重厚な佇まいや拡張時のサイズ感は、まさにフランスアンティーク家具ならではの魅力です。天板はニスの再塗装がされています。

This is an extendable draw-leaf dining table with a classic structure but an exceptionally unique design. The four legs feature intricately carved figures dressed in Celtic (Breton) traditional attire, reflecting the distinctive culture of the Brittany region in northeastern France. Each carving is unique, showcasing the remarkable craftsmanship and the rarity of such a detailed piece. While similar figure carvings are often found on cabinets or chairs, they are extremely rare on tables. The table’s imposing presence and the generous size when extended epitomize the charm of French antique furniture. The tabletop has been refinished with a new coat of varnish.
